BCCI releases India's home schedule for 2025, set to face West Indies and South Africa around year-end

Team India’s home season will kick off with the two-match Test series against the Caribbean side in October, followed by the two-match Test series against South Africa.

In a recent piece of news, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for India’s home season for 2025. The Men in Blue will play against West Indies and South Africa in the 12 matches across all formats around the end of the ongoing calendar year.

Team India’s home season will kick off with the two-match Test series against the Caribbean side in October, followed by the two-match Test series against South Africa. Following this, the Men in Blue, under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, will take on South Africa in the three-match ODI series before the five-match T20I series against the Proteas. 

Here’s a look at India’s home season for 2025:

India vs West Indies – 1st Test – October 2-6 – Ahmedabad 
India vs West Indies – 2nd Test – October 10-14 – Kolkata 
India vs South Africa – 1st Test – November 14-18 – New Delhi 
India vs South Africa – 2nd Test – November 22-26 – Guwahati 
India vs South Africa – 1st ODI – November 30 – Ranchi 
India vs South Africa – 2nd ODI – December 3 – Raipur 
India vs South Africa – 3rd ODI – December 6 – Vizag 
India vs South Africa – 1st T20I – December 9 – Cuttack 
India vs South Africa – 2nd T20I – December 11 – New Chandigarh 
India vs South Africa – 3rd T20I – December 14 – Dharamsala 
India vs South Africa – 4th T20I – December 17 – Lucknow 
India vs South Africa – 5th T20I – December 19 – Ahmedabad  

The first match of the two-match Test series against West Indies will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from October 2nd followed by the second at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata from October 10th.  Furthermore, the Test series opener between India and South Africa will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi followed by second Test of the series at Barsapra Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

The ODI series between India and South Africa will kick off with the first game at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association Cricket Stadium in Ranchi on November 30. The second and third ODI of the series will be played in Raipur and Vizag.

The T20I series between India and South Africa will start with the first match of the five-match series to be played in Cuttack on December 9. The second game of the series will be played in Chandigarh on December 11 followed by the third T20I in Dharamsala. The fourth and fifth T20I of the series will take place in Lucknow and Ahmedabad.

After the conclusion of these assignments, the Men in Blue will gear up for the home T20I World Cup next year in 2026.
