After scoring a magnificent century in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024, Musheer Khan might be eying the selection for the upcoming Bangladesh series. Recently, he became the fourth-highest run scorer on debut in the tournament, breaking Sachin Tendulkar's 33-year-old record. He smashed a magnificent century against Team India A, which had some experienced bowlers in the team.

Musheer's 181 runs came off 373 balls, including 16 boundaries and five sixes. During the game, he smashed India's one of the best bowlers, Kuldeep Yadav, which raised his confidence in attacking the other bowlers. Moreover, he's a terrific spin player and had the courage to go against the spin wizard. The 19-year-old player must be on the BCCI's radar and \ as per his performance, the selectors should consider him for the upcoming Bangladesh tour as he has Test cricket potential for the future.

Here are the 3 reasons why Musheer Khan should be groomed for Test Cricket:

1. Solid footwork and technique

Musheer Khan's red-ball cricket technique is as good as a mature player, even after being so young. His confidence in playing against the international bowlers with ease makes him extra special. Moreover, his footwork and head moment are absolutely perfect, and he needs to be groomed under the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to improve his game in the future. He recently played for India U-19, scoring a lot of runs.

2. Excellent domestic records

This isn't the first century scored by Musheer Khan. The 19-year-old boy has been in the limelight for a long time for his attacking game and brilliant bowling. India could use a young all-rounder against Bangladesh to strengthen their position in the game. In six first-class games, Musheer has scored 529 runs at an average of 58.77 and has also claimed seven wickets. He scored an unbeaten 203 runs against Baroda in February 2024.

3. Young and perfect age to conquer the game

At the age of 19, Musheer surprised the cricket fraternity with his performance. Hence, the Board should look to groom him for the future. Considering his current form and performance, if he is trained well under seniors, there is a high chance that he will become an asset to the team. Plus, he's an all-rounder, which is an added advantage. Moreover, including him in the Bangladesh series and giving him the correct exposure might turn him into one of the best in the game.
