WATCH: Victor Wembanyama pulls off Michael Jordan's move against Minnesota Timberwolves

Since his career-low performance against Chet Holmgren and the Thunder, Victor Wembanyama has been on a roll. This evening has been no exception. Fans were reminded of Michael Jordan by Victor Wembanyama's subsequent display of genius when they played the Timberwolves, led by Anthony Edwards.

Victor Wembanyama drove to the baseline after catching the ball at the top of the key early in the second quarter, where he was defended by Naz Ried. Wembanyama's alley-oop basket after the turnover gave the Spurs a 62-57 lead. With six seconds left, Wembanyama swung his attempted slam out of his hands and off the backboard after racing over to stop Gobert at the basket.

"Is that Michael Jordan?" the announcers could be heard asking. The commentator was alluding to a move that Michael Jackson made during the 1991 playoffs, but the younger viewers might not have known. Jordan executed a similar move in Game 3 against the Knicks in the first round. Then, MJ dunked over Patrick Ewing after spinning on John Starks. Although Wemby's move was comparable to MJ's from the past, his finish was a little simpler.

 Without coach Gregg Popovich, who missed the game due to sickness, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-103 on Saturday night. Lendon Johnson scored 25 points, and Chris Paul contributed 15 points and 13 assists. San Antonio's Jeremy Sochan contributed 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Victor Wembanyama finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds.

Chris Paul, 39, recorded 10 assists in a row, making him the second-oldest player in NBA history. The Utah Jazz's John Stockton, a Hall of Fame point guard, achieved the accomplishment at the age of 41. After starting the season with an average of 17.2, San Antonio committed 11 turnovers for the second consecutive game. The Spurs lost at Oklahoma City 105-93 on Wednesday, committing a season-high 22 turnovers. Since then, San Antonio has won back-to-back games with a total of 22 turnovers.
