During Sunday's 112-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Stephen Curry hurt his left ankle late in the third quarter. He attempted to get back on the court but left again and went to the locker room. He first departed the game due to an ankle injury with 2:43 remaining in the third quarter. He remained on the bench and was brought back into the game with 8:08 left in the fourth. However, he only made a brief comeback after aggravating the injury and leaving the game permanently, walking heavily and requiring assistance from teammate Gary Payton II.

However, Stephen Curry made a brief comeback at 8:08 in the fourth quarter before leaving once more. It seemed to roll outward once more during an offensive possession thirteen seconds after the ankle had turned. Near the end of Golden State's bench, it happened, and he hobbled into the tunnel leading to the locker room. After 27 minutes, Curry finished with 18 points.
