WATCH: Stephen Curry mocks Klay Thompson with an epic message after scoring game winning shot

One of the most exciting games of the season was played at the Chase Center when Klay Thompson returned, but this time it was against the Golden State Warriors. In a tight game, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks 120-117 behind the play of Stephen Curry. He gave a really energetic performance.

There was a mixture of excitement and tension on the night as Klay Thompson made his first appearance at Golden State since joining Dallas during the previous summer. At the beginning of the game, Klay had a thank-you video for his 13 years on the team and his crucial role in winning four titles, but his buddy and the evening's host, Stephen Curry, overshadowed the celebration.

Steph Curry seized charge of the game with 37 points and 9 assists, ensuring that no one from outside the squad stole the show.The shot which knocked the Mavericks to sleep and gave them little time to react was the most crucial moment. He also used the occasion to criticize Klay as the celebration was going on. While Draymond Green, joins in at the end as Curry shouts, "You better stay here," to Klay.

The duo share lot of memorable moments

During the game, Thompson scored 22 points and even performed Curry's famous shimmy celebration. The Warriors' final 12 points were scored by Stephen Curry, who also made a pivotal driving layup to put Golden State Warriors ahead. He demonstrated once again why he is among the best players of all time by completing the game with a 3-pointer over Dallas' Derrek Lively's extended arms. Curry scored 37 points in the end, helping the Warriors win 120-117. 

One of the most fearsome backcourt combinations in NBA history, Thompson and Curry won four titles together and produced innumerable memorable moments over the course of more than ten years. Curry defending Thompson at the beginning of the game was an uncommon sight. Both the players were suddenly competing on opposing sides in a real NBA game after facing off innumerable times during practice and during Team USA camps.
