Stephen Curry quickly wowed the crowd with a spectacular performance during Tuesday's eagerly awaited preseason matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. It was only necessary for Curry to remind everyone why he is the greatest shooter of all time.

About four minutes into Tuesday's preseason game against LeBron James and company, the former back-to-back NBA MVP felt like he had some air. Lakers guard Rui Hachimura arrived late for his game, and Austin Reaves was caught on a screen. As a consequence, the Warriors star unleashed his signature look-away trey.

Stephen Curry made his famous look-away motion even before the ball reached the bottom of the net because he knew his shot was going in practically as soon as it left his palm. In Curry's case, however, this is typically the anticipated outcome.

Watch here the video:

Curry is the Warriors' top scorer with 11 points and three assists. The Lakers are doing their hardest to stay in the game, though, thanks to Anthony Davis. Davis blocked a shot, grabbed nine rebounds, and scored sixteen points in the first half. Due to a nose injury that has kept Brandin Podziemski out of action, Curry must take the backcourt weight. In the second half, Curry is unlikely to play for very long.

Stephen Curry is back in squad after missing due to injury

Curry returned to the starting lineup in the game against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing Sunday's 111-93 victory against the Detroit Pistons. He had 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal after playing 27 minutes. He also had a 3/11 three-point shooting percentage and a 6/18 field-goal percentage.

At 36, he is still among the best players in the league. He finished the previous season shooting 40.8% from three-point range and 45.0% from the field in 74 games, averaging 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. The Warriors are hoping to defeat the Lakers here in order to maintain their four-game winning run in the preseason. On Thursday, the Chase Center will host a rematch between these two teams.
