Stephen Curry has cemented his place in the pantheon of all-time greats. The Warriors were hosting the Los Angeles Lakers in a preseason game at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. Kobe Bryant had just recovered from an Achilles tendon tear and was nearing the conclusion of his playing days.

With Golden State Warriors leading the exhibition game by a sizable margin in the third quarter, Bryant scooped up Curry full-court twice in succession to wake up the little point guard. The Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry is undoubtedly among the select few who can claim to have drained a three-point shot over Kobe Bryant's extended arms.

The three-time champion dissected a 2014 encounter in which Bryant attempted to get some distance on the five-time winner to score a triple. Curry emphasized that it was the year following the legendary Los Angeles Lakers player's Achilles injury.

 Watch here the video:

Curry ended up with a bad outcome as Kobe Bryant attempted to guard him full-court. Laughing at how Bryant was getting away with fouls and Curry's insistence on not reacting on the floor are two of the most noteworthy scenes in the video. Recalling the play afterward, he did concede, though, that he found it "pretty cool".

Golden State Warriors won NBA title

In addition to being one of the greatest guards in NBA history, Stephen Curry has won two league MVP awards. However, even the all-time greats had players they admired both before and after they entered the league. 13 years before Curry, in 1996, Bryant joined the league. Curry undoubtedly appreciated Bryant's skill before he turned pro, thus this was undoubtedly a memorable occasion for the shooter.

After winning 67 games that season, the Warriors made it to the NBA Finals for the first time in forty years. After leading the Warriors over the Cleveland Cavaliers to win his first NBA championship, Curry was awarded NBA MVP.
