Stephen Curry has cemented his place in the pantheon of all-time greats. The Warriors were hosting the Los Angeles Lakers in a preseason game at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. Kobe Bryant had just recovered from an Achilles tendon tear and was nearing the conclusion of his playing days.
With Golden State Warriors leading the exhibition game by a sizable margin in the third quarter, Bryant scooped up Curry full-court twice in succession to wake up the little point guard. Curry ended up with a bad outcome as Kobe Bryant attempted to guard him full-court. Laughing at how Bryant was getting away with fouls and Curry's insistence on not reacting on the floor are two of the most noteworthy scenes in the video. Recalling the play afterward, he did concede, though, that he found it "pretty cool".
Golden State Warriors won NBA title
After winning 67 games that season, the Warriors made it to the NBA Finals for the first time in forty years. After leading the Warriors over the Cleveland Cavaliers to win his first NBA championship, Curry was awarded NBA MVP.
