Mike Breen and Walt Frazier, the two commentators informally brought up the allegations made against Josh Giddey. During the match, Breen bought up the issue that had rocked the NBA and Oklahoma last year. The issue was once again raised by the commentators on Sunday while the Australian star was working on Throw Line in the fourth quarter.

Earlier, this year The Newport Beach Police had announced the closure of the case against the 21-year-old Oklahoma star. In a statement, the Police department revealed, “After a thorough and exhaustive examination, we have completed our investigation into information that was circulating on social media involving Josh Giddey.”
“Our detectives have reviewed all of the available information and were unable to corroborate any criminal activity related to Mr. Giddey.” Notably, in November 2023 some photos and videos of Giddey along with a girl went viral on social media.
In the viral post, people alleged that the girl was underage and studied in a high school in Orange County. Taking the matter into consideration NBA as well as the police department started their probe into the matter. However, soon the league’s probe took a backseat as the Police started a thorough investigation before filing the closure report.
Notably, since the matter has been made public Josh Giddey has faced a lot of criticism from the fans. On Sunday too the away crowd booed him at Madison Square Garden. The Australian is averaging 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game for the Thunder and has been a regular starter.
