There have been a lot of great records that players have held in the game of tennis. The grand slams will still be the tournaments that will have a big following, but sometimes players need to continue their great form in the upcoming tournaments as well. Two tournaments follow the Australian Open which are the Miami Open and the Indian Wells Masters. These tournaments can be equally as competitive going forward as well.

There have been only a few players who after winning the title at Melbourne have gone on to triumph in Indian Wells and the Miami Open. There have been only five players that have gone on to achieve this feat in a single season. Some of these are some of the greatest to ever play the game. Nadal went on to continue his great form in the Indian Wells Masters where he defeated Andy Murray in two straight sets. It is safe to say that this was a season to remember for the great player.

The Swiss legend achieved this in 2006 when he won his second Australian Open after defeating Marcos Baghdatis in the final. Federer followed that great victory by winning the Indian Wells and Miami Open in that season as well. This was another great record crossed off the list by Federer in his great career.
