At the Hall of Fame tip-off ceremony and awards dinner on Saturday night, Vince Carter received congratulations from Michael Jordan and his spouse, Yvette Prietto. Carter will join 12 other people who have made contributions to basketball history, including Chauncey Billups and Seimone Augustus, in being inducted tomorrow.
The 22-year NBA veteran welcomed the couple along with his three children, who were introduced by Jordan's wife, Yvette, who was also there. Along with his wife Sondi, Carter is father to two children: Vayle and Vince Jr.; he also has a daughter Kai Michelle from a prior relationship.

Vince Carter and Michael Jordan both played collegiately for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. Chapel Hill was Carter's school from 1995 to 1998. Jordan won a national championship there in 1982, and Carter made two visits to the Final Four.Carter was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the fifth overall pick in 1998; however, the Toronto Raptors acquired Carter in exchange for Carter's UNC teammate, Antawn Jamison. . Upon becoming the first star of the Raptors, he inspired a generation of Canadian basketball players now participating in the NBA.
