Team USA won another gold during the Paris Olympics 2024 as LeBron James was MVP of the final match against host nation France. LeBron James won his third gold medal for Team USA as he won in 2008 and 2012. Meanwhile ahead of the new NBA season LeBron James got a new tattoo of Olympics rings which is inspired by USA win at Paris Olympics 2024. 

LeBron James recently got a tattoo on his arm that included the five rings that have come to symbolize the Olympic logo. With his most recent victory, James equaled his longtime friend Carmelo Anthony for the most gold medals. In 2004, both sportsmen participated for Team USA and finished in third place.

Even though Team USA prevailed, it might be argued that they might not have achieved as much success if their roster hadn't had the oldest member. James was without a doubt the team captain, and he played a key role in several games thanks to his aggressiveness and versatility.

James finished the six games with an average of 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.5 assists. After making 30.8 percent of his three-point shots, 73.3 percent of his free-throw attempts, and 66 percent of his field goals, he was named the tournament MVP.

LeBron James getting ready for his 22ns NBA season

The Los Angeles Lakers player was also selected to carry the American flag during the opening ceremonies. The duration of James' NBA career is unknown, but one thing is for sure: he hasn't displayed any indications of aging. This offseason, James will be playing his 22 NBA signed a two-year contract with Los Angeles Lakers.

The 39-year-old had a big impact on NBA history throughout the course of the past two seasons. In 2022–2023, he broke the all-time record for points scored in the league. In 2023–2024, he made history as the first player to score 40,000 career points. James averaged just over 35 minutes per game while playing for the Lakers in 71 different contests. He hit 54% from the field, 41% from three-point range, and 75% in front of the free-throw line in addition to his averages of 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.3 steals. For him, it was a career-high three-point percentage.
