Giannis Antetokounmpo, the former MVP, is healthy and prepared to go for his second NBA title as he starts the 2024–25 season. Antetokounmpo is nearing the end of his preparations before training camp begins, with Milwaukee's preseason opener scheduled for October 6 against the Detroit Pistons.

During the regular season of the previous year, Giannis Antetokounmpo performed admirably, playing in 73 games and averaging 30.4 points and 6.5 rebounds. He did not, however, play in the postseason, and his Bucks were ousted in the opening round. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had a fantastic start to the previous season.

But after just 43 games of play, Milwaukee Bucks management administration chose to bring Doc Rivers in to take Adrian Griffin's position as coach. Ahead of the new NBA season, Antetokounmpo has started doing hard pilates, and it seems like it has made him more flexible and strong. The former NBA champion might have a great season this autumn if his most recent exercise routine keeps him healthy. But it seems like he is having a hard time while doing Pilates.

After the change, the Milwaukee Bucks struggled to find their new identity under Rivers. Giannis Antetokounmpo performed admirably in the regular season, but he was out for the playoffs due to a calf injury he sustained in April. The Bucks also overcame Damian Lillard's Achilles injury, which limited the veteran guard to four appearances in the team's six first-round matchups with the Indiana Pacers.

Will Giannis Antetokounmpo set to Milwaukee Bucks?

Lillard is prepared to go for an NBA championship now that he's back to normal. Antetokounmpo, meanwhile, is keen to demonstrate that he can still lead Milwaukee to another NBA Finals berth despite his most recent setback. However, as we've already seen, Milwaukee's success will be determined by Antetokounmpo's health.

During the last NBA season, Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs series by a score of 4-2. Meanwhile as per reports Dallas Mavericks are eyeing him to be part of the team to provide support to Luka Doncic. But the main obstacle is Antetokounmpo's contract, which, barring a trade request, holds him in Milwaukee until 2027. Furthermore, the Mavericks' wage cap may be strained if they create a tandem with Doncic, which would make it more difficult to assemble a strong squad around them.
