WATCH: Caitlin Clark talks about the WNBA All-Star Game in 2025 and "Happy" About Indiana Fever hosting the event

The WNBA recently revealed on Thursday, August 15, that Indianapolis, the home of standout rookie player Caitlin Clark, will host the league's 21st All-Star Game. Since her college days, the 22-year-old Indiana Fever Guard's fame has been the buzz of the town. 

Caitlin Clark has delivered some of the finest performances throughout the years. While playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes, she was named Iowa Miss Basketball in 2020, Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2021, and won all of the National Player of the Year awards in 2023. 

Caitlin Clark, a star for the Indiana Fever, is thrilled that the WNBA All-Star Game will be held in Indianapolis in 2025. Clark's statement was delivered during pregame comments on Friday before Indiana's home game against the Phoenix Mercury (the conversation starts at the seven-minute mark).

When asked if she was prepared to lead the Indiana Pacers in the All-Star Game, Clark responded similarly to Tyrese Haliburton, who expressed his feelings about being the "mayor" of the NBA's version in Indianapolis in February. "Oh gosh no...I'll be hiding," "I'm just happy I'll be able to sleep in my bed if I'm lucky enough to be an All-Star again. I would not have to sleep in a hotel room, not have to travel. I think that's what I'm most excited about," Caitlin Clark said according to Bleacher Report.

WNBA All-Star game will take place on 19 july 2025

With 16,898 spectators each game, Indiana leads the WNBA in attendance led by Clark, the two-time unanimous national collegiate player of the year. Given how popular the team has become since Clark's arrival, it only makes sense for the WNBA to capitalize on that by hosting the league's flagship event in Indianapolis. This is also the first time the city has hosted the WNBA All-Star Game since its inception in 1999.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled to take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday, July 19.
