Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers point guard, will miss Game 4 against Boston Celtics on Monday night due to a hamstring issue. Rick Carlisle, the head coach, verified his status to the media before the game. He will miss his second consecutive game after suffering an injury in Saturday's Game 3.

In the Eastern Conference finals, Boston Celtics overcame an 18-point deficit with Haliburton sitting on the bench to take a 3-0 lead. They can win Monday in order to complete the series and go to the NBA Finals.

Indiana Pacers will confront an unusual task in Tyrese Haliburton's absence. In NBA history, no team has ever come back from a 3-0 gap to win a playoff series. Their best player will be sitting out this game as the Pacers attempt to mount a comeback.

Haliburton, a two-time All-Star, was chosen All-NBA for the first time this season at the age of 23. He leads the league's highest-scoring offence, averaging 20.1 points, 10.9 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game this season.

Kristaps Porzingis out for Boston Celtics

Indiana Pacers dominated the first half of Game 3, building a 69-57 halftime advantage when rookie Ben Sheppard replaced Haliburton in the starting lineup. Andrew Nembhard took over as Indiana's backcourt leader in Haliburton's absence and had one of the greatest games of his career, scoring 32 points and dishing out nine assists while hitting 4 of 7 from three.

The Pacers had an 18-point lead in the second half of the game but were unable to hang on to defeat Boston. The victory gave the Celtics a 3-0 series lead. However, Indiana's offence stalled after halfway, scoring 42 second-half points as the Celtics regained control of the game, winning 114-111.

Indiana Pacers will need to improve its overall performance Monday night to avoid getting swept. In the meanwhile, the Celtics have declared that Luke Kornet and Jrue Holiday will be ready for Game 4. Kristaps Porzingis is still not back for Boston Celtics.
