On Sunday New York Knicks defeated Philadelphia 76ers by 97-92 as they took a 3-1 lead in the first round of playoff series. Jalen Brunson scored 47 points which is his career-high high points in the playoff series and gave 10 assists OG Anunoby scored 16 points and 14 rebounds as he took on some defensive responsibilities against Joel Embiid in the fourth quarter as the Knicks came within a win of reaching the Eastern Conference semifinals for the second consecutive year.

After sitting out the first half, Joel Embiid played the whole second half as the 76ers struggled. But the All-Star center, who has been suffering with some issues with his surgically repaired left knee, which he looked to reinjure after a dunk in Game 1, and was just diagnosed with Bell's palsy, a kind of facial paralysis, was unable to score in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, Joel Embiid got 27 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists and his teammate Tyrese Maxey scored 23 points for the Philadelphia 76ers, who hope to force another home game on Thursday. Embiid led the 76ers to a win in Game 3, scoring 50 points, his playoff high. He got them off to a good start in Game 4, but Brunson quickly became the dominating player on the court, completing 18 of 34 from the field.

Josh Hart missed all seven shots, while Donte DiVincenzo missed his first seven. But Hart grabbed 17 boards, and the Knicks continued coming after missed shots, even when it was evident Embiid didn't have the stamina to chase them down, scoring 21 second-chance points.

Jalen Brunson was in the locker room to begin the fourth quarter but returned to shoot a basket over Embiid during a 6-0 Knicks run that gave them the lead for good, 86–81. He added another basket with 55 seconds left to make it 95-89, and the Knicks sealed the win.
