Miami Heat defeated Boston Celtics with a historic barrage of 3-pointers on Wednesday night, knocking out the Boston Celtics home-court advantage that they had fought so hard to create all season. Tyler Herro scored 24 points and 14 assists, including six of Miami's 23 3-pointers the most in a playoff game in team history to lead the Miami Heat to a 111-101 win against top-seeded Boston, tying the first-round playoff series at one game each.

Jaylen Brown led Boston's scoring with 33 points. Jayson Tatum scored 28 points and showed no ill effects from Martin's harsh foul that left him sprawling to the floor with less than a minute to play in Boston's 114-94 victory on Sunday.

Boston Celtics won 64 games in the regular season to secure home-court advantage in the NBA Finals, but they didn't make the most of it on Wednesday, despite a crowd that was still ecstatic after watching their hero land hard in the series opener.

Tatum recorded his first career postseason triple-double on Sunday, scoring 23 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists in a game that Boston led by as many as 34 points in the fourth quarter. But the major concern was how he'd recover after being undercut by Martin while attempting a rebound.

Boston Celtics never got possessions again

Jayson Tatum opened Game 2 and scored 14 points in the first quarter. Martin was booed loudly every time he touched the ball.

With two minutes left in the first half, Miami Heat led by five, 55-50, but Brown scored three consecutive 3-pointers to take a four-point lead. Brown missed a three the following time out, but his layup in the final seconds made the score 61-58 at halftime.

Miami embarked on a 10-0 run to grab an 82-70 lead with less than four minutes remaining in the third quarter. Boston reduced the lead to six, 102-96, with three minutes remaining, but Martin scored a three-pointer and the Celtics never went within two possessions again.
