Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic has been upgraded to questionable for Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night. Doncic is now dealing with a thoracic contusion in addition to the right knee sprain and left ankle soreness he has been dealing with during the Mavericks' postseason run, according to an injury report released by the NBA at 1:30 p.m. ET.

After playing 38 minutes in Game 1, Luka Doncic ended with 12/26 shooting from the field and 4/12 from three-point range, along with 30 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Dallas Mavericks, on the other hand, suffered a 107-89 defeat, therefore a win is necessary to save them from falling 0–2.

Doncic is coming off another outstanding season in which he shot 38.2% from three-point range and 48.7% from the field in 70 games to average 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

Luka Doncic is struggling with injuries

Dallas Mavericks are the Western Conference's fifth seed, with a 50-32 record. They defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves in the first three playoff rounds. In 37 minutes of play, Luka Doncic scored 22 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals, and three blocks while shooting 7/12 from the field and 2/6 from three.

Doncic's right knee strain has been included on the injury report ever since the Mavericks' first-round loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. During the Oklahoma City Thunder game in the Western Conference playoffs, I started to get left ankle pain. Even though Doncic has been dealing with injuries throughout the playoffs, his downgrading is reason for concern.

If Doncic cannot play, Dallas will be in serious difficulty. While Kyrie Irving remains the Mavericks' standout guard, Doncic is the team's driving force. He is the team's leader and MVP during the postseason. In 70 games this season, Doncic averaged 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 9.8 assists.
