Following a 117-116 victory against Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 6 of the series, the Dallas Mavericks moved to the Western Conference Finals. Luka Donric and the Mavs are enjoying their third consecutive victory after qualifying for the Western Conference Finals for the second time in a row. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving will be returning to this stage for the first time since 2017.

As per GiveMeSports Kyrie Irving said, "It’s been a long time coming just being back in this position… I look back at parts of my career where I took it for granted, just getting to the conference finals for three years straight… And then not getting back for a little bit, it’ll weigh on you as a competitor."

Dallas Mavericks have benefited greatly from Irving's extraordinary play both on and off the court. Irving scored 22 points in Game 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Alongside him, he has given Luka Doncic a real superstar option and mature leadership for a young Dallas team.

We really got to appreciate each other's talents - Kyrie Irving

As per GiveMeSports Kyrie Irving shared a word in the dressing room, “I was just trying to hold back the emotions just because of how hard and tough this series was… We really got to appreciate each other's talents and skill sets and, most importantly, our will. We have a lot of guys that love to compete, a lot of guys that want to see each other do well and are willing to sacrifice and do the little things in order to get wins, so I think we're continuing to prove that.”

Irving has experienced quite a rollercoaster since winning a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and leaving in 2017. However, the 32-year-old seems to have settled in Dallas Mavericks. In the Western Conference Finals, starting Wednesday evening, Dallas will play the winner of Game 7 between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
