Both teams met in the playoffs for the third time in five years, with the Clippers winning the previous two series.

Doncic paced Dallas Mavericks with 33 points and 13 rebounds. Kyrie Irving led the Mavs with 31 points and seven rebounds, but their supporting cast contributed nothing. Trailing by 22 points, the Mavericks outscored the Clippers 10-2 to get to 102-88. Dallas benefited from a technical on Zubac and a flagrant-1 penalty for his additional antics following Doncic's second free throw attempt. Overall, it cost the Clippers four points after Doncic scored while the Mavericks had possession.
