On Wednesday night, Dallas Mavericks defeated Miami Heat by 111-92 Dallas Mavericks are going to mark their 50th win in this NBA season. They have booked their spot in playoff position.

According to several sources, when Kyrie Irving signed a three-year, $120 million contract with the Mavericks this summer, the pact included an incentive in which if Dallas won 50 games and Irving participated in 58, he would receive an additional million dollars. For the first incentive to be earned Kyrie Irving reached both landmarks on Wednesday. For Kyrie Irving to activate his second bonus needed 65 games played, which he will not achieve with only two games left in the season.

In has played 57 games and has an average of 26.1 points which is only behind his teammate Luka Doncic. Kyrie Irving has now played 30 consecutive games which is the most since 2016. In his 30 NBA games so far this season, he has an average of 26.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

Dallas Mavericks in a potential run for a playoff

As the Dallas Mavericks won over the Miami Heat, they made it into the playoffs position. They are over the New Orleans Pelicans (47-32) by two games with three games remaining in the regular season. If the Mavericks lose against Miami, they can still win the division if the New Orleans Pelicans lose to the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.

Dallas
Mavericks has won 15 of its past 17 games, beginning with a 114-108 victory over the Heat on March 7 at the American Airlines Centre. For the Dallas Mavericks, securing the division with a win against the team they began their turnaround against would put an up-and-down regular season to a close and help set them up for a potentially deep playoff run.
