Donovan Mitchell did it again, and the Cleveland Cavaliers advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs. Mitchell did not score 50 points as he did in Friday's Game 6. However, he scored 39 points in Sunday afternoon's Game 7, Cleveland Cavaliers won 106-94 over the Orlando Magic

Donovan Mitchell had little assistance in the beginning. Nonetheless, for the second straight game, he lifted the Cavaliers. Despite Jalen Suggs' aggressive defence, Mitchell had another great effort. Mitchell went 3-for-13 in the first half, scoring 15 points. But he went hard at Suggs, scoring 17 points in the third quarter to spark a comeback.

Outside shooting was a huge concern for the Cavaliers throughout the first half. They went only 2-for-11 (17.8%) from beyond the arc, with Sam Merrill making both of them. However, Max Strus made two three-pointers to snap Cleveland's long-range drought and aid the rally effort. And Darius Garland's three-pointer gave Cleveland Cavaliers their largest lead of the game, 88-77, with little under six minutes remaining.

Cleveland looked like it had almost nothing left after going behind by 18 points in the second quarter. However, they trimmed the deficit to 10 points at halftime, 53-43, before storming back to lead 65-64. With a 33–15 advantage against Orlando Magic in the third quarter, the Cavaliers led 76–68 going into the fourth. Banchero shot just 1-for-7 in the session, scoring just four points while being checked by Isaac Okoro.

With the Orlando Magic's season on the line in a Game 7 first-round playoff showdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Paolo Banchero attempted to announce if he hadn't already established himself as an NBA star. In his home court, Banchero, the first overall choice in the 2022 NBA Draft, led the Cavaliers to a crushing defeat with 38 points, 16 rebounds, and three steals.

On Tuesday the semi-final Game 1 will take place between Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers
