Jalen Suggs, an Orlando Magic guard, returned to start the second half after being brought to the locker room with a left knee injury in Game 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
Suggs was unable to put any weight on his leg and was assisted off with 4:02 left in the quarter. Suggs was filled with emotion and looked to be weeping when he was transported for treatment and further assessment.
The Magic reported that Suggs had a left knee injury. They first questioned his comeback, but he returned to the court in the third quarter with a sleeve on his leg. Following Suggs injury, Cole Anthony increased his minutes for the Magic, playing nine in the first half after only 11 in Game 1. He was 0 for 3 in the first half as Orlando Magic battled to establish its offensive rhythm.

Suggs struggled offensively in Game 1, scoring 13 points on 4-of-16 attempts. The Magic were depending on Suggs' defensive talents in Game 2, but a stronger offensive effort may have made the difference after Orlando struggled to score in Game 1.
Suggs, 22, played 75 games and averaged a career-high 12.6 points per game in his third professional season, and he has improved significantly as a defender. In Game 1, Suggs scored 13 points and was the primary defender of Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland.

In Game 1, Suggs scored 13 points on 4 of 16 shooting and added four assists in a 97-83 defeat. Suggs, Orlando's top defensive guard, was replaced by Markelle Fultz. Suggs was drafted fifth overall in 2021 after dominating at Gonzaga. Suggs played 75 games during the regular season, comfortably setting a new career best.
