Not only does Kevin Durant have scoring that transcends generations, but there are no other NBA players like him. Instead, what sets him apart is his dedication to online engagement. His basketball abilities and Twitter fingers were on full show on Thursday, as he played a major part in Team USA's come-from-behind victory over Serbia.

The United States entered the game as 15.5-point favorites, but they were unable to maintain their lead throughout. Serbia was able to create a double-digit advantage that swelled to as high as 17 points in a game that appeared to pit them against France for the gold medal.

However, Kevin Durant's clutch efforts in the closing minutes were what turned the tide of the game. He made a big three-pointer to cut the lead to 70-78, followed a few possessions later by making a jumper to counter a Serbian jumper, grabbed a rebound to set up an Embiid jumper to cut the lead to 82-84, assisted James nicely to tie the game at 84, and then made a dagger jumper to give them a 95-91 victory.

Phoenix Suns player went on X about six hours after Durant and Team USA had to mount a 17-point comeback to defeat Serbia in the Olympic quarterfinals in Paris. He had a sharp question for a Denver Nuggets celebrity who was enjoying Serbia's (and Nuggets player Nikola Jokić's) performance.

USA will face France in final match

For those who are unaware of Durant's current time, it was approximately 5 a.m. when he posted. Durant is not missing out on any of the social media hype, and he is also taking the time to make it clear that he will not allow any Team USA defamation. Team USA can earn a gold medal for the fifth time in a row if they win.

The 20,000-seat Bercy Arena will undoubtedly be packed with French fans eager to see what may be their basketball golden generation under Victor Wembanyama. The fact that Durant and Team USA defeated them in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will also inspire the French. One of the most eagerly awaited gold medal competitions in history will be this one.
