JJ Redick who is a Former NBA player and basketball analyst recently spoke on his podcast about his NBA MVP selection which has a tight race for the award. While Redick recognised for his knowledgeable basketball analysis, chose Denver Nuggets player Nikola Jokic as the NBA Most Valuable Player.

In an interaction on the Old Man and Three podcast, JJ Redick stated that “MVP for me, again, it came down to 3 guys, it came down to Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Ultimately, I gave, by the slightest of margins, I gave my vote to Nikola Jokic for MVP.”

According to PINKVILLA JJ Redick added, “Luka Doncic in second, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in third, I had Jayson Tatum in fourth in MVP, and Jalen Brunson, fifth in MVP. Giannis was the other guy I gave consideration to, just outside the top 5.”

However, Redick found the selection difficult, noting that the margins were incredibly close as he ranked Dallas Mavericks wonder Luka Doncic second and Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander third. Meanwhile, this rating roughly matches the consensus among many votes, with Jokic's great play throughout the season earning him the #1 slot in Redick's opinion.

Redick emphasised Jalen Brunson's importance to the New York Knicks

Luka Doncic is showing great skills in the current season along with Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is also close to winning the NBA MVP award. Redick's MVP selection has recognised the tremendous talent and accomplishments that have adorned NBA courts throughout a fantastic and challenging season.

J.J. Redick discussed on his MVP vote decision, stating why he chose Jalen Brunson over Giannis Antetokounmpo. Redick emphasised Brunson's importance to the New York Knicks, emphasising how his efforts helped the Knicks secure the No. 2 spot in the Eastern Conference.

According to PINKVILLA Redick said, Redick said, "Jalen Brunson and Giannis, this is, I'm being serious, the fact that Jalen Brunson took the Knicks to the second seed was like the tipping point for me."

Brunson's importance in bringing the Knicks to a better seed in the East, along with his performance relative to expectations, influenced Redick's decision-making process during the MVP contest.
