Stephen A. Smith has come up with support for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in his MVP campaign. In this current season of the NBA, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 30.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists so far. The improvement of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander under the Oklahoma City Thunder has been phenomenal and has risen to win the MVP award these seasons.

“He’s the No. 1 seed in the west as we speak. He’s played 71 of 74 games this year. He’s 3rd in the NBA averaging 30.3 behind Luka and Giannis only. He’s had an NBA-high 50 games of 30 or more points this season. He’s shooting a career-high 53.9% from the field. 58% on 2PT shots. 36.5% from 3-point range. In 4 games against Denver, they’re 3-1, he’s averaging 26-5-5,” Smith said.

While Stephen A. Smith has supported Shai, he talked about the assists and made assumptions about Jokic and Doncic to level up with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He also suggested that Jalen Brunson should be placed ahead of Doncic in the race for MVP. Meanwhile, Shaquille O’Neal recently joined the chat and declared that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is winning the MVP award after Oklahoma City Thunder’s 70 games.

The race for the MVP award is getting hot

“The MVP is SGA. He meets my criteria and everybody else’s criteria. He’s the worst player in the game and their team is 49-21,” Shaq said.

To win the MVP season award, there is a lot of competition. On the other hand, Nikola Jokic has good numbers and is leading the Denver Nuggets to get the top position. While Giannis and Luka are also giving a strong performance in the race to win MVP.

As the season is getting towards the end the race for the MVP award is getting hot with many players as contenders all aiming to win the title to make an exciting end to the season.
