Christian Braun of the Denver Nuggets believes that his teammate Nikola Jokic must win the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the 2023/24 season. In the current season, Nikola Jokic has an average of 26.1 points, 12.2 rebounds and nine assists per game.
In the current NBA season, the Denver Nuggets sit in the top position of the Western Conference league while they first won their NBA title last season. "He's the best player in the world, there's no question about that," Braun told BBC Sport.
Nikola Jokic, 29, is a two-time MVP winner, having won in 2020/21 and 2021/22 before being beaten by Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers last year.
So far in this season Nikola Jokic is the most impactable player and has been named Western Conference’s Player of the Month award two times in October and November. "He's been the best player in the world for a while. I think he deserves it, it's just the work he puts in every single day. He's an amazing player and he definitely deserves to win the MVP," said Braun. (Source: BBC Sports)
I just hope everybody appreciates what he does, he's an amazing player, he's a good guy, and he's a great teammate."
Christian Braun is playing in his second year in the NBA
Braun won the NBA title with the Denver Nuggets last season. He also has won the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) title with Kansas which makes him the fifth player in the history of the NBA to win two titles. He also aims to become the second player to win NCAA and two back-to-back NBA titles in three years by the end of this season.
Denver Nuggets will play their last nine games of the season starting this weekend. They will face Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference on Saturday and on Sunday they will face Cleveland Cavaliers of the Eastern Conference.
