Jayson Tatum and Boston Celtics are showing no signs of complacency ahead of the 4th game of the NBA final 2024. The 17-tiem champions need to win just a game in the 4 upcoming matches to script history. If they manage to win the title, Celtics will become the first team to win the NBA title in 18 instances.

Currently tied with LA Lakers at 17, Boston will be aiming to win their 18th. Ahead of the 4th games, Jayson said that none is celebrating their lead yet. Tatum felt that there is a lot to be done yet. "Even now, up 3-0, nobody is celebrating or anything. We still feel like there’s a lot more that we can do," said Tatum ahead of the 4th game against Dallas Mavericks.

Jayson added that they have learnt from the experience of hardships in the last couple of years to not get complacent. He and his long-tike teammate Jaylen Brown have been trying to win the trophy for Celtics since 2008. Following the failure last season, Brown claimed that he learnt a lot from failures which drove him crazy. "It drove me all summer, drove me crazy,” Brown said.

'Every person came with a different mindset' - Jayson Tatum

Jayson believed that every player in the Celtics lineup has come with a different mindset this season. The star player said that no player has taken anything from granted and said that everyone is looking forward to one game at a time. Tatum understood the pressure of being a Celtics player and claimed that one must win the trophy if they are in Boston Celtics.

“I think each and every person this year has came into the season with a different mindset. I think it has truly shown that we don’t take things for granted, and we approach every single day the same. Being part of Celtics history entails that you’ve got to win a championship,” Tatum added. A win in the 4th game would be the maiden title win for the duo of Tatum and Brown.
