Boston Celtics have won Game 3 of NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks by 106-99. But the game changed for the Dallas Mavericks in just over ending of fourth quarter when four minutes were left. Luka Doncic star of Dallas Mavericks did six fouls and had to leave the game. Due to this Dallas Mavericks lost the game and Boston Celtics have taken the lead in the NBA Finals series by 3-0.
This led to Luka Doncic expressing his frustration by flashing the money sign for only the second time in his NBA career. This was also Doncic's first foul of the season and the third of his career, prompting criticism since he elected to try a charge on a three-pointer while holding five fouls. However, Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown put a big gap of points which Dallas Mavericks couldn’t make and pressure kept on building him and forcing him into a defensive position.
This resulted in the sixth foul for Luka Doncic. Dallas disputed it, and the play was thoroughly reviewed, but the original call was affirmed. Following the replay interpretation, referee Marc Davis stated that Doncic did not establish an actual guarding posture before Brown's advance. He indicated that there was no clear and compelling evidence to alter the earlier judgement, thus the call to the court was maintained.

Despite without Doncic, Dallas Mavericks attempted to counterattack at Boston Celtics but they were dominant, cutting their advantage to two points at 100-98 with 1:20 remaining. However, Brown's critical 20-foot jump shot restored the Celtics four-point lead, sending the game to a two-possession situation.
Luka Doncic was shocked after getting a foul
In Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Luka Doncic was stunned and upset when his sixth foul was called, and he proactively urged the Dallas Mavericks bench to dispute the call. Despite a replay check, the challenge failed, sending Doncic to the bench for the last 4 minutes and 12 seconds of the game.
Doncic's streak of 48 career playoff games without fouling out came to an end this game, as he received four foul calls in the fourth quarter alone. However, before leaving the Game 3 Luka Doncic scored 27 points. Dallas Mavericks must-win Game 4 against Boston Celtics to stay alive in the NBA Final series
