Fans commented on a photo of OKC Thunder center Chet Holmgren completing summer workouts with Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant. While Durant exited the tournament early, Holmgren and his team were quickly ousted from the 2024 NBA playoffs.

Holmgren had a strong start to his career. He placed second in the Rookie of the Year vote and showed promise after being exposed to playoff basketball in his rookie year. The 7-foot-1 center averaged 16.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks. He maintained the postseason intensity with 15.6 ppg, 7.2 rpg, and 2.5 bpg.

Durant, on the other hand, performed admirably in the 2023-24 season. He played 75 games, averaging 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. The Suns were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the opening round.

Now that the two stars have entered the offseason sooner than intended, they've spent their additional time working together. They were joined by Suns backup center Bol Bol. Holmgren published an Instagram story with the three of them.

Kevin Durant's exercise session with Holmgren is not anything new.

Learning from seasoned stars is a unique opportunity that few players have. Holmgren received the opportunity to study from one of the top players for the second summer in a row. Last offseason, he got the chance to study from Kevin Durant.

Last summer, the Thunder center worked out alongside the Suns' star, Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young, and Brooklyn Netts swingman Lonnie Walker IV.

The off-season work he did with the veterans was evident in his debut season in the league. He chose his shots wisely and made the most of his defensive height and reach. Holmgren also showed that he did not need to gain weight, as most experts advised the young star. Despite not winning the Rookie of the Year title, Holmgren showed a lot of potential.
