Hasbro and Nike create special LeBron James-themed Monopoly game

Popular shoe brand, Nike, and the creators of Monopoly, Hasbro, have come up with a special collaboration to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the board game with a LeBron James-themed Monopoly board. It is being named LeBron 22 and seems to be an attraction for the lovers of Monopoly and the fans of the Basketball legend.

The latest update has come as a surprise to many, as none saw a collaboration between a shoe brand and a Monopoly Board coming. The design elements are inspired by the board game and the elements in it are inspired by LeBron James. The game set has playing pieces which are based on the career of the NBA star.

From sneakers to the jerseys and Basketball, everything on the board revolves around James. The collaboration has also resulted in unique speakers which consists of two elements - Token and Currency. The Token is inspired by the luxurious blue and gold floral print. Likewise, the currency is inspired by Monopoly's graphic approach to money.

Launch date of the board

Both Token and Currency aim to celebrate the career of the LA Lakers star. They revolve around the gameplay, lifestyle, and James' career. While the currency part is set to be launched on the 15th of November, the Token is set to be launched on the 19th of November.

Apart from the sneakers and the Monopoly board, Nike x Hasbro is set to host a Three Thirty community centre in Akron. The students will get a chance to experience the brand-new game board uniquely. Keeping in mind the interactive gameplay and financial literacy, the board is set to be large.

Fans took to social media and felt it to be a good initiative. Many were happy to see James being used as a medium to promote the board game. Many claimed to buy the board game considering its new update. The board will be available for purchase soon. The initial images of the board have gone viral on social media.
