Golden State Warriors defeats Dallas Mavericks 104-100 despite Luka Doncic's triple-double

On Tuesday night Andrew Wiggins scored 23 points as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks 104-100 ending their seven-game winning streak. Luka Doncic’s 20th triple-double had gone in vain.

On Tuesday night Andrew Wiggins scored 23 points as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks 104-100 ending their seven-game winning streak. Luka Doncic’s 20th triple-double had gone in vain. His average is 33.9 points per game. 

In the game against Golden State Warriors, he scored 30 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. He also recorded his 48th 30-point match of the season and is only behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Oklahoma City Thunder who scored 50.

The Mavericks trimmed the score to 102-100 with 15 seconds left, but Klay Thompson's late free throws helped the Warriors seal the win. Six Warriors scored in double digits on a night when Stephen Curry went 5 for 18 from the field. Thompson and Chris Paul had 14 points, Curry had 13, and Moses Moody had 12.

Draymond Green had two big plays down the stretch for the Warriors, stopping Daniel Gafford with 1:30 left and giving Golden State an eight-point lead with a basket the following possession. He had eleven points.

Dereck Lively II may be out of action for up to two weeks due to injury 

The Warriors led by 11 points with 7:28 left, but the Mavericks knotted the game at 92 with 4:28 left. After the Dallas Mavericks are in fifth position in the Western Conference. While Golen State Warriors remain No. 10 in the Western Conference and three games ahead of the Houston Rockets.

Golden State Warriors Jonathan Kuminga missed his fourth game in a row, but coach Steve Kerr said he expects him to play Thursday at Houston. Before the game, Mavericks coach Jason Kidd stated that Dereck Lively II might miss up to two weeks due to right knee pain. Lively suffered an injury during Sunday's game against the Rockets.

The next match for Dallas Mavericks is against Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors will face Houston Rockets on Thursday night
