Despite Caitlin Clark of the Fever scoring 17 points and handing out a franchise-high 13 assists, Angel Reese had a career-high 25 points and drew 16 rebounds to help the Chicago Sky defeat Indiana 88-87 on Sunday.

Angel Reese has extended her rookie record in the WNBA by recording a double-double in eight straight games. Since A'ja Wilson, she is the only rookie to have more than 25 points and 15 rebounds in a single game. She and Wilson are the only players in the WNBA this year to have scored at least 15 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in different games.

According to Vivid Seats, the average price to enter the game was $351, making it the most sought-after ticket in over a decade. The two teams, Reese and Clark, did not let us down. Caitlin Clark played every minute, hitting 5-of-11 (5-of-9 from three), with six rebounds, four steals, and five turnovers. Chicago (6-9) trailed 82-70 with 6:38 remaining until Reese got rolling. She contributed 10 points and five rebounds to the Sky's comeback.

She collected an offensive rebound, was fouled while attempting to putback, and sank the free throw to tie the game at 82 with three minutes remaining. Kelsey Mitchell followed with a basket before Chennedy Carter knotted it with a running floater with 2:30 left. Reese scored inside to give the Sky a two-point lead before Carter and Camilla Cardoso each made one of two free throws to make it 88-84 with 27 seconds left.

Aliyah Boston made a disputed three with 19 seconds remaining before Marina Mabrey missed two free throws and Clark grabbed the loose ball, but the Fever missed two attempts in the final seconds. Mitchell had 24 points to lead the Fever. Boston had 18 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while NaLyssa Smith contributed 12 points. Chicago, which defeated the Dallas Wings 83-72 on Thursday, has won two straight games after a four-game collapse.

In the national championship game of 2023, Clark and Iowa fell short against Reese and LSU Tigers; they made up for that defeat in the national semifinals of 2024, but ultimately lost to Cardoso and South Carolina.
