After winning the NBA Title with the Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla has now become the youngest coach to win the NBA Trophy. He has suppressed another NBA legend Bill Russell to achieve this feat. On Monday night, the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks by 106-88 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals series.

After winning the title Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla stated that there are no celebration plans for him as he is going to get surgery on his torn meniscus. As per Yahoo Sports, "Hey guess what?" Mazzulla said. "I gotta have knee surgery. I tore my meniscus in March after we lost to Atlanta ... I'm gonna be out a little while, I've been working through it since March."

On March 25th and 28th Boston Celtics had a match against Atlanta Hawks. However, the Atlanta Hawks won both games and defeated the Boston Celtics.  Since then for the past three months, Joe Mazzulla has been having a problem. Now after the celebrations are over he has gotten a chance to undergo surgery for the torn meniscus.

Meanwhile, Joe Mazzulla was not the only coach to be sidelined during the playoffs due to injury. He was with Chris Finch who is Minnesota Timberwolves head coach. He was sidelined due to his ruptured patellar tendon during the first round of the playoff series in a Game against the Phoenix Suns.

Kristaps Porzingis will also undergo surgery

However, the Minnesota Timberwolves won the series against the Phoenix Suns by 4-0. He was injured when he collided with his own team player Mike Conley Jr. and missed multiple games in the second round due to surgery.

Boston Celtics centre Kristaps Porzingis will need surgery on his left leg after hurting it in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Porzingis missed Games 3 and 4, but he played 16 minutes in the Game 5 win.
