Zhou Guanyu is set to be the first Chinese F1 driver to attend the CS2 Shanghai Major show match. The show-match event is set to feature some of the best CS2 players and veterans. As Shanghai is set to host the event this time, the organizers have announced Zhou's attendance. Zhou scripted history when he became the first Chinese driver in the Formula 1 grid.
"The first Formula 1 driver from China @ZhouGuanyu24, who is also an enthusiastic CS gamer, will attend the Shanghai Major show match! #ShanghaiMajor2024," claimed the official post from the organizing team on X. Zhou has been doing well as a driver for the Stake F1 Kick Sauber team.
At the Formula 2 level, he has won many championships. Despite being aged 24, Guanyu has shown promise of being a good driver in the making. While he has not won any Formula 1 race, the experts are backing him to be one of the brightest talents for the future of the sport.

The Playoffs of the major event kickstarted on the 12th of December 2024. The final of the event is set to take place on the 15th of December at 2 AM ET. The show match is set to take place about 2 hours before the final. Apart from Zhou, other guests are yet to be announced.
