MotoGP's reigning world champion is yet to make his comeback after he suffered a massive injury during pre season practice. The former Prima Pramac rider and current Aprilia rider's dream of racing in 2025 was shattered after he suffered a fracture in his legs and hand.

His wrist was broken, and he is now in a recovery period. Martin was seen during the Americas GP in the COTA circuit, where he was supporting his team, Aprilia Racing. The Italian team has a more balanced rider lineup consisting of Martin and Bezzecchi.

But without Martin, Aprilia is struggling to score points. He is one of the best riders who can score points consistently, even with a lean machine. Last year, Ducati was the fastest bike, but Martin defeated Bagnaia in an Independent Ducati. He became the first rider to win a world title in the MotoGP era after Valentino Rossi. The Spanish rider has the potential to change a normal team into a championship-winning team.

Jorge Martin's return to MotoGP?

The good news is, Martin recently went for X-ray scans in Barcelona, and he was cleared by the medical crew. They said his injury is healing nicely and he could return to racing. The next race is in Qatar, and Martin will be 100% seen in the garage. But the big question is whether he will be racing for Aprilia or not. Jorge Martin is yet to confirm his participation in the race.

Martin is desperately needed there as the team is struggling with consistency. But the 2024 world champion should undergo another medical checkup next week before announcing anything about returning to racing. Ducati rider Marc Marquez is leading the riders' championship, and his team is the leader in the constructors. But Aprilia Racing is in eighth place in the constructors, and their rider, Marco Bezzecchi, is eighth in the riders' table.
