The FIA has summoned both the Williams drivers Franco Colapinto and Alexander Albon for not being present at the drivers meeting during the United States Grand Prix in Austin. Williams F1 team is obviously not looking for this kind of weekend. The COTA circuit has a sprint session before the race so there is not a lot of time left for the first free practice session. There will be no second free practice session, instead there will be Sprint qualifying.
So teams will have very little time for their car set up and drivers to get ready for the sessions during the weekend. The Williams pair of Franco Colapinto and Alex Albon got themselves in trouble as they were not seen during the drivers' meeting before the weekend.
Both of them failed to attend the drivers meeting along with other drivers and now the stewards have summoned them for a meet and the drivers need to see the stewards and give an explanation for their absence from the meeting.
There will be no penalties for these kinds of actions but there will be fines or warnings given to them. The Williams pair engaged in a heated moment when Franco Colapinto dive-bombed Alex Albon at the Singapore Grand Prix last month. However, Williams team boss James Vowles was very impressed with the young Argentinian after he got them points in the very few races he has raced for them.
Franco's Spin at the US GP

He came as a replacement for Logan's sergeant. He was also very impressive during the United States Grand Prix sprint qualifying where he completely dominated his teammate Alex Albon during the session. Franco was flying high until he suffered a spin during the final few minutes of the final sprint session which pushed him to the last spot in the Top 10. He will now start 10th during the Sprint race at the US GP.
