During the first qualifying session (SQ1), the tension reached a peak when Albon, pushing the limits of his Williams car, experienced a dramatic spin on the exit of the penultimate corner. "The drivers are pushing so hard!" the commentators exclaimed as Albon lost control, seemingly destined for disaster. However, the skilled driver managed to regain control just in time, avoiding a collision that could have ended his qualifying run prematurely.

Despite his impressive save, Albon ultimately faced elimination, finishing in 18th position. Alongside them, Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas, and Zhou Guanyu also failed to progress, highlighting the fierce competition of the session.
