The whole world eagerly waited to see Lewis Hamilton in the iconic Ferrari suit. The 7-time world champion is starting a new chapter with the Maranello-based team from the 2025 season over a multi-year deal. The iconic moment happened at Maranello when Hamilton tested the SF23 Ferrari car on the Fiorano testing track. Thousands of Tifosi gathered outside the private track to witness the legendary F1 driver. The red colour suited exceptionally well for Lewis Hamilton, as he was looking dashing.

WATCH: Toto Wolff feels like divorce seeing Hamilton in Ferrari

Everyone was happy except one and it was none other than Hamilton’s former boss, Toto Wolff. In an older interview, Wolff said Red doesn't suit Lewis. But after seeing Hamilton in red, he would change his view. The Austrian never wanted Hamilton to switch to another team, but he had to respect the champion. Toto was asked about Hamilton’s first visit to Ferrari headquarters. He replied, “Yeah, it's a little bit like you divorce amicably, and it’s all good, and then you see your partner for the first time with a new friend.” This shows how Wolff felt seeing Hamilton in a new team other than Mercedes.

The Mercedes boss also respected Hamilton’s decision and motivation to continue in Formula 1. He added, “But I’m really happy for him that those pictures were iconic; he made them so well-curated and no surprise with Lewis.” Replacing Hamilton at Mercedes is very difficult, but Toto somehow managed to bring young Italian Kimi Antonelli into the team as a new teammate of George Russell. They missed Max Verstappen during the 2015 season because of having both Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

Toto did not want the same mistake to repeat again, so he brought the future star into the team. Kimi is so young and has more talent and skills. Kimi Antonelli will be the youngest driver on the grid, while Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton will be the oldest. Mercedes are also looking very strong and they will be a contender for the championship this year. But inside some part of Toto Wolff will always cheer for Lewis Hamilton.
