The 2025 season is yet to start, but even before that, we have a rivalry building between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Usually, in Formula 1, people say your teammate is your biggest rival. Leclerc and Hamilton will be teammates at Ferrari for the 2025 season. People had already started talking more about the 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton and had forgotten the Monegasque driver who had been with the team since the 2019 season. Leclerc was the only driver who was very consistent for them over the last few years.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were both dominant over their teammates. So it will be very exciting to see which one emerges as the strongest Ferrari driver this year. But their rivalry has now started even before the season. This time it was an unintentional rivalry, as Lewis Hamilton crashed his car during a testing session in Barcelona, which cost Charles Leclerc’s testing session. The Italian team planned to do a three-day testing session. But Hamilton’s late crash proved costly, as the entire day has been scrapped.

Leclerc suffered due to Hamilton.

Formula 1 drivers always like to spend more time with the car and mechanics than their teammates to learn more and gel with the team. After completing the test run on the Fiorano track in Maranello, both drivers went to Barcelona for TPC (testing Previous cars) testing. On the first day, Leclerc did his testing session in the morning while Lewis Hamilton did that in the afternoon. For the second day, the order was reversed and Hamilton did the morning session, and the team planned to change the drivers after completing the lunch.

But just before lunch, Hamilton crashed into the barriers on the final sector, causing extensive damage to the car's suspension and aero parts. Lewis emerged out completely safe, but the car damage was too much so the team scrapped the entire day for repair. Leclerc will bid goodbye to his testing session because he won't be given another chance to test the car. Ferrari will test with their reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi and junior driver Dino Begovic on the third and final day. But he can test during the Pirelli Tyre testing session in the same venue next week.
