The Brazilian Grand Prix is an iconic race in the Formula 1 calendar as the race in the Interlagos circuit is one of the oldest races in the world. The Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo is a lovable race track for many F1 drivers and fans. The city is also home to the all-time Greatest driver Ayrton Senna who was a three-time world champion in Formula 1 before he died in a crash in the 1994 season. The F1 community paid tribute to him by making Lewis Hamilton drive his 1990-winning car around the Brazilian circuit.

GOAT driving a GOAT's Car 

The car was the iconic McLaren MP4 co-developed by McLaren and Honda with which Senna won his 1990 world title. Brazil was the home country of Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton considers Senna as his idol in Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton the GOAT of Modern Formula 1 and master of wet conditions drove the iconic world championship-winning car around the rainy Interlagos circuit and the Brazilian crowd went crazy despite they are all soaked in heavy rain. Everyone shouted 'Senna, Senna, senna' in the track which was very emotional.

The 7-time world champion has a massive fan following in  Brazil and felt honoured driving the McLaren Honda car in the circuit. The event was already planned by the Formula 1 organiser and Lewis Hamilton was chosen as the driver to drive Senna's car as he is one of those drivers holding his legacy.

After winning his world title Ayrton Senna held a Brazilian flag in his hand and circled the track. Lewis Hamilton brought back the same memories to the Brazilian crowd as he took the Brazilian flag out and waved it around the track. It is an emotional tribute to the Greatest Formula 1 driver of all time from another.

The Modern GOAT paying homage to the all-time GOAT at the Interlagos circuit left many fans in tears as they still remember their most lovable hometown boy Ayrton Senna even 30 years after his death. Senna was born for racing as even modern drivers still use Senna’s braking technique and cornering skills.
