Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari is the biggest news everyone’s talking about. Even the tennis world is not spared, as the reigning Australian Open champion and world No. 1 Jannik Sinner can't avoid the topic of Hamilton and Ferrari during his press conference.
Sinner defeated Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinal match of the 2025 AO Grand Slam. He will now face the American Ben Shelton in the semis. The reigning champion, Jannik Sinner, will fight hard to defend his Grand Slam this year. He was talking with the press after his win over the Australian, and there he was asked some off-beat questions regarding F1 and Lewis Hamilton.
The Italian tennis player loves Formula 1 and was seen during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last year. Earlier this year, he was seen chatting with Mercedes driver George Russell outside a restaurant in Monaco. It was no surprise, as Sinner is a big Ferrari fan being an Italian.
'It's weird'—Jannik Sinner.

An Italian journalist asked him about Lewis Hamilton’s first day at Ferrari. She also pointed out Sinner following F1 and Lewis Hamilton since his childhood. Sinner said, “They are beautiful images (Social Media pics) and it is different seeing him at Ferrari, which is a beautiful thing; even for Charles, it's different.
But you have to ask these questions more to him than me. It feels weird seeing him in red but the next season will be great.” The 23-year-old player went for a drive with Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc around the Yas Marina circuit in 2024. He then visited the Ferrari camp and cheered for his home team to win the constructor’s world championship against McLaren.
This year not only Jannik Sinner, but many Formula 1 fans are excited to see Lewis Hamilton driving for Ferrari. Sinner became a two-time Grand Slam winner (Australian Open and US Open) in the 2024 season. If he wins this year, it will be his back-to-back Australian Open Grand Slam wins.
