WATCH: Fans roar as Lewis Hamilton drives Ferrari car for the first time in Maranello

Lewis Hamilton's testing session with Ferrari has officially begun in Maranello, Italy, The Tifosi captured videos of the F1 legend driving a Ferrari car.

The Ferrari fans were too delighted when they saw the 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton driving a Ferrari car at the Fiorano Test track in Maranello. They cheered Hamilton when he crossed them near the side of the road. The Italian team conducted the testing session with last year's Ferrari F1 car.

Hamilton finally drives a Ferrari

The biggest moment the Tifosi had been waiting to see for the last couple of months was to see Hamilton driving a Ferrari. The moment finally arrived as Lewis tested his first Ferrari car at the Fiorano Test Track in Maranello, Italy. The iconic testing track is located very near a highway. It is also the home to Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari.

The climate in Maranello was too cold and misty, but the fans bothered nothing and gathered in huge numbers from the morning to capture the iconic moments. Even many media houses were present outside the track to capture a glimpse of Lewis driving a Ferrari car.

Lewis visited the Ferrari Headquarters yesterday and met the management and the employees. It was the biggest signing for Ferrari in the last 10 years since they signed Sebastian Vettel in the 2015 F1 season. Ferrari is still waiting for their Formula 1 championship since 2008. They tried to win the title with many iconic drivers like Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso, and Sebastian Vettel and none of them were successful. It was all because of the domination of Red Bull and Mercedes from 2010 to 2024.

The Italian team has a habit of signing their biggest foes in F1. Fernando Alonso ended the reign of the great Michael Schumacher in Formula 1 when he was driving for Ferrari. They signed him from the 2010 to 2014 season but he failed to win the championship because of Sebastian Vettel’s domination.

In 2015 they signed Sebastian Vettel but he couldn't win the title because of Lewis Hamilton’s domination. Then they continued with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz for four years but couldn’t win the title. Now they have signed Lewis but Max Verstappen is dominating the grid. Let us wait and see how Hamilton handles Max Verstappen in the 2025 F1 season with a Ferrari car.
