We are just days away from the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix in Mexico City. The 4.3-kilometre-long circuit is very demanding as it has many tight corners, especially the first four corners where a lot of overtaking happens during the race.
The first corner of the Mexican circuit is known for many incidents, such as drivers trying to overtake each other by going through the chicane. One major incident happened at last year's Mexican Grand Prix when Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc collided with Red Bull driver Sergio Perez in the first corner.

Not an Ideal Home Race for Checo
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc qualified as the fastest and was the pole sitter, followed by Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver was already leading the drivers championship followed by his teammate Sergio Perez the home hero of Mexico. At the start of the race, Max Verstappen had a better start than Charles Leclerc, who went ahead of him into turn one. Sergio Perez also had a good start he went through the split stream and passed Charles Leclerc on the outside line.

Charles Leclerc was squeezed between the inside and outside line by the two Red Bull and suddenly Sergio Perez turned into him damaging his floor and Leclerc’s end plate. The hometown hero retired disappointing the Mexican fans and also himself who took the risky move of turning to the inside of Leclerc. This also led to a fight between fans who were supporting Red Bull and Ferrari. It led to a big Altercation and they were all banned lifetime from entering the venue again.
At the end of the race, Max Verstappen won quite comfortably followed by Mercedes Driver Lewis Hamilton and Ferrai’s Charles Leclerc. This win was Max Verstappen’s Sixteenth win of the season and Red Bull’s 18th win. They went on to win the remaining three races of the season and ended it on a high and one of the best race results for Red Bull since Sebastian Vettel's era in 2013. Charles Leclerc faced a lot of booing from the home fans as they thought he was the culprit for Checo's retirement. But Leclerc explained on the mic that he had nowhere to go and was squeezed by the Red Bulls.
