For the first time since 1993, Red Bull boss Christian Horner got behind the wheel of an old Red Bull F1 car during a fan event in Goodwood Hill. The 30th edition of the motoring event was full of historic F1 cars and famous racing drivers. But 4-time world champion and Formula 1 legend Sebastian Vettel was unable to attend the event due to a family holiday. He was supposed to drive his 2012 championship-winning RB8car up the Goodwood Hill.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner had no options left so he drove the car by himself up the mountains. Horner said, “I haven't driven a Formula One car since 1993 and I’m standing in for Sebastian Vettel. So, what could possibly go wrong?" Horner has never driven a Red Bull car since joining the team in 2005.

Despite having fear for stalling the car, he drove the iconic RB8 car up the Goodwood Hill. Thousands of Red Bull fans and team members were present during the occasion. So Horner’s chances of embarrassing himself were very high. His wife, Geri Halliwell, gave a piece of good advice before he took over the steering wheel, saying, “Don't crash." After successfully completing the event, Horner said, “Having never driven a Red Bull car before, it's a hugely proud moment to drive a car that had been designed and built by all men and women in Milton Keynes, and we won our championship with it in 2012.”

Sebastian Vettel was the first-ever world champion and racewinner for the Austrian team. He came into the team in 2009 and in his first year, he challenged for the title against Jenson Button. He ended as runner-up while Red Bull won the constructors championship. From 2010 to 2013, Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel became the dominant force inFormula 1, winning 4 consecutive world championships. Vettel also became one of Formula One’s greatest drivers. But he couldn’t win any more championships with either Ferrari or Aston Martin.
