Fans are still fuming about the decision made by Red Bull management to promote Liam Lawson over Yuki Tsunoda for their main team. The Japanese driver was their best performer in the last few years but they still promoted young Lawson to race alongside Max Verstappen. Red Bull leadership points out many reasons for not promoting Tsunoda but the biggest reason was the Honda-Red Bull Partnership.
Tsunoda was brought in by Honda, the power unit supplier for Red Bull and their contract is over by the end of this year. From next year, Ford will be making powertrains for the team. So Red Bull is not ready to promote Tsunoda for their senior team. The biggest thing here is that even if you take Honda out of the equation and consider Yuki Tsunoda as a driver, he still deserves the seat.

RB Bulls boss is guilty.
Many fans say Red Bull should feel guilty for not recognising the Japanese driver and so should RB Bull's new racing director, Alan Permane. He says, “I must admit, I was guilty of that coming in. I don't know if he’s taken a step up this year. Because I don't have anything to compare against.” Alan feels there are some inconsistencies with Tsunoda which he needs to work on but he believes the 24-year-old driver will learn everything soon. The biggest error he points out is that Tsunoda gets frustrated with himself when he doesn’t perform well.

The former Alpine race director shows Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, and Max Verstappen as the biggest examples and benchmarks for handling frustration during peak moments. Permane says their prime target is to improve Yuki Tsunoda as a better driver, promote him to the senior team and make him a race winner. But this could be the final year of Yuki Tsunoda, as Red Bull could ditch him and move on with some other driver. The only option for Tsunoda to continue in Formula 1 is to find a seat before the season ends or become a reserve driver for Aston Martin.
