For the last two days, many speculations have emerged about the reigning world champion Max Verstappen’s next move. Rumours say the Dutch driver will move to Aston Martin in the 2026 season with a massive 1 billion euro deal. But both Max Verstappen and Aston Martin rejected all the speculations. He has a contract with Red Bull until the 2028 season, but there are doubts regarding the 4-time world champion's next F1 team.

Experts say that if Red Bull doesn't provide him with a championship-winning car in 2025 and 2026 then Max has no choice but to break his F1 contract and move to a new team.  But Why is Aston Martin F1 coming into his line of sight? The answer is simple, it's because of Adrian Newey and Honda.

Aston Martin signed a multi-year deal with Car designer Adrian Newey and Honda, both were an integral part of Verstappen’s success in Formula 1. Only Ayrton Senna and Max Verstappen mastered the art of driving and winning championships in a Honda-powered car and both became F1 icons.

But to roast all the speculations Ford and Red Bull have released a new video of the world champion driving the American muscle car Ford Mustang - The Dark Horse. The American auto giant enters a new partnership with Red Bull for Powertrains from the 2026 season.

Honda and Red Bull were the most successful pair as they have won 4 drivers titles and two constructors championships. The partnership ends in 2025 and Honda moves to Aston Martin as the new engine regulations kick start from 2026. So Red Bull tied hands with Ford to create their own Powertrains.

It also signals the arrival of Americans into the European dominated sport as General Motors are entering Formula 1 2026 with their Cadillac brand.
