Verstappen, despite sustaining damage to his car, managed to limp back to the pits for repairs, but the incident cost him valuable time and positions. As a result, George Russell seized the opportunity to secure his maiden victory for Mercedes, crossing the finish line in first place.

Mercedes dominates the race!

Behind Russell, the podium positions shuffled dramatically. Oscar Piastri capitalized on the chaos to secure a strong second place for his team, followed closely by Carlos Sainz in third for Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton, who had been in contention for a podium finish earlier in the race, ultimately settled for fourth place.

Verstappen, despite his efforts to salvage points, could only manage fifth place after serving a 10-second time penalty imposed by race stewards for causing the collision with Norris.
