The Austrian Grand Prix kicks off with only a Free Practice Session of the weekend. This is the 11th round of the ongoing Formula 1 season, marked by the third weekend featuring a sprint race. The event is being held at the Red Bull Ring, the home track of Red Bull Racing. As the weekend progresses, the rivalry and intensity are expected to escalate, with drivers pushing their limits in pursuit of victory.

During a dramatic moment in FP1 at the Austrian Grand Prix, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg were locked in a tense battle. As Leclerc was on a flying lap, he encountered Hulkenberg obstructing his path on one of the turns, much to his frustration. The incident irritated Leclerc.

Here is the video:

Later, Hulkenberg’s race engineer warned him to be cautious as Max Verstappen was approaching at high speed. Hulkenberg, known for his straightforward demeanour, responded with a pointed remark: “All these cry babies here with the traffic.” The incident between Leclerc and Hulkenberg sets the stage for what promises to be an action-packed race weekend.

Max Verstappen pulls out a red flag!

Meanwhile, The Austrian Grand Prix weekend started disastrously for reigning world champion Max Verstappen when his car stalled on the start-finish straight at the Red Bull Ring. Verstappen reported an engine fault over the radio and brought his car to a halt.

Red flags were immediately raised, pausing on-track action. Cleverly, Verstappen stopped near the pits, allowing his car to be quickly wheeled back into the Red Bull garage for diagnosis. However, after a few minutes, Verstappen was back on track after rebooting his engine and sensor issues.
