The Formula 1 teams are currently in Bahrain for the 2025 pre-season testing ahead of the busy season. Lewis Hamilton, after parting ways with Mercedes after winning six titles with them, is preping with his new team, Ferrari.
On Day 2 of the pre-season testing, Hamilton was up in the morning session. During his practice, he set the fastest lap of the entire testing so far. He clocked in a time of 1:30.08. This is a great sign for the seven-time world champion as he eyes his 8th World Chamiponship title in a new outfit.

Notably, Red Bull driver and current World Champion Max Verstappen was missing from day 2's practice as the team decided to let Liam Lawson take the wheel for both sessions to get him accustomed to the new car. Apart from them, Williams also decided to let Carlos Sainz drive in both sessions with Alex Albon missing out.
Earlier on day 1, Lando Norris had the best time despite the proceedings being halted due to a power outage in the region. The FIA eventually made up for the lost time by extending the session by one hour.
Meanwhile, Hamilton reflected on Day 1 of the practice session with Ferrari. "Testing is always exciting. It’s the first time you get to see what everyone has been developing and can start to get a feel for your own car and the year ahead," Hamilton said.
"Being here with Scuderia Ferrari HP and in the SF-25 for the first time is an incredible feeling. Our focus right now is on experimenting with different things, gathering as much data as possible and getting familiar with the car, and we’ve already learned a lot.
"It’s too early to really understand performance, but everything feels good and as a team we’re working on the best way to optimise each run. There’s more to do over the next few days to get through our programme and understand the car to the best of our ability, but right now I'm looking forward to getting out there again tomorrow," he added.
