WATCH: Key moments during the 2024 Singapore GP from Lizard on the track to Daniel's fastest lap

Singapore GP gave us full of memories to cherish till the next race. We have seen the fastest lap by Daniel Ricciardo to Lizard running on the track.

The Singapore GP is over and Formula 1 teams now will have a long unusual break and then they will head to the Americas for the US GP. But last weekend was a very gruelling and tiring race for many. Singapore was a very tough circuit to race and with the heat and humidity, it's very cruel on drivers and teams. 

Here are some of the key moments from the race:

1. Lando Norris is the fastest one 

Red Bull despite dominating the first part of the season lost their pace in recent races. Over the last eight races Max Verstappen didn't even win a single race seems like the monopoly has ended now. As we see Lando Norris and McLaren are the fastest ones in the grid. Lando Won the Singapore GP quite comfortably as no one matched his pace.

2. Red Bull Found a way

Max Verstappen couldn’t dominate his McLaren rivals anymore as his car has some balance issues, especially on a tough Singapore track. But despite all the problems he secured P2 in the race which shows he is one of the greatest and skillful drivers in Formula 1. Red Bull will be looking to bounce back from all the odds at the United States Grand Prix next month. 

3. Daniel Ricciardo Last but not the least

The Australian veteran Daniel Ricciardo had a tough season this year as he was dominated completely by his teammate Yuki Tsnuoda. There are also some speculations of him getting replaced by his Neighbour countryman Liam Lawson after the Singapore GP. But Daniel got a chance to be the fastest man on the track and guess what he was the quickest in the race as he won the DHL fastest lap award and one valuable point which could be a big difference in the title fight.

4. Ferrari’s unexpected struggle

The Singapore Track has always favoured Ferrari over the years as its former driver Sebastian Vettel always had a good run at Singapore. But this year it is very unusual to see both Ferrari drivers struggling to get pace in their cars. Carlos Sainz also crashed during his qualifying as he didn't find any grip on his tyres. Leclerc and Sainz finished the race fifth and seventh which is a good finish after struggling during qualifying sessions. 

5. Lizard setting the pace on track

Formula 1 has seen many animals and birds obstructing during races from Beaver in Canada to dogs in the Buddh international circuit in Delhi. In Singapore, we got the chance to see a very big lizard running on the track when marshalls tried to get rid of it. 

The lizard was so fast that the race marshall couldn’t even run close to it. Many reels and memes emerged all over the internet after seeing the lizard running like hell. If there was a race between the drivers and the lizard we could see a new winner standing in the pole position with tails.
